Fastest rider on the night was Steve Nutley Fife Cycling 2000 with a 22:10, 2nd was Richard Hunter Perth United with a very close 22:11 and third was Dundee's very own Brian Sproul with a 22:39.

Time for the annual pilgrimage to the midge capital of the world.
125 miles either way, done in three 40 mile blocks, at a fairly easy pace.

The Man Who Cycled The World Thursday 29th January

Mark Beaumont, the Scots cyclist who completed the fastest circumnavigation of the globe, will give a fundraising lecture at the University of Dundee later this month to help support a group of students and staff hoping to set off on an adventure of their own. The, titled 'The Man Who Cycled The World', takes place at the Dalhousie Building on Thursday January 29th at 7pm. It is one of a range of activities being staged to raise funds for a rainforest conservation trip for Zoology students at the University.

SCU CONSULTATION EVENT

CONSULTATION EVENT 1 FEBRUARY 2009, SALUTATION HOTEL, PERTH

As you may be aware Scottish Cycling are hosting the above event and are keen to ensure as many members can attend and contribute to the discussion.
The format of the day is what is called 'Open Space' Consultation. This means that there is no agenda for the meeting with topics of discussion coming from the floor. This gives members the opportunity to raise and discuss issues they think are important to the future of cyclo sport in Scoitland.

Harriers V Cyclist Results

Results from the annual Runners vs Cyclists romp around Caird Park.

Snowy conditions caused a few problems for the cyclists as the runners won by a slender margin of two points.

First over the line was cyclist Brian Sproul of Dundee Thistle closely followed by Mike Webster from Angus Bike Chain.

2005 Stage Race Report and Results

The anual Dundee Thistle Stage Race was run in the middle of May with a full field and great weather to help the riders and helpers alike.

The stage race is split into a morning prologue (2 miles) up the law at the centre of Dundee, with a flattish afternoon road race around kettins (60 miles).

The stage race is split into a morning prologue (2 miles) up the law at the centre of Dundee, with a flattish afternoon road race around kettins (60 miles). On the second day a hilly course (45 miles) awaits those still in the chase with three knapp ciruits and six climbs in total
