A small film company were interested in getting some footage of cyclists for part of a healthy lifestyle film .It is co funded by the NHS trust and Dundee council. The director was keen to get some shots of fit looking cyclists pedalling along the road. Steve King was contacted to see what he could organise.

While out on the upper Kettins Road Florence brook her colour bone after coming off her bike last week. Due to having hit her head in the crash she was kept in hospital overnight but was released the following day. We all wish her a speedy recovery.

Just in case you hadn't noticed the web site has been down for a month after the server which holds our site was attacked as part of a global game played by hackers. Apparently a competition was held around the world to see which hacker could bring down the most website servers in one hour.

Jack who joined the Dundee Thistle back in 1940 was a life time member of the club and for many years our treasurer. His popularity was amply illustrated by the large number who attended his funeral at Dundee crematorium.

Time to get in touch with all those riders you barely have time to talk to on the bike, arrange runs, sell off old equipment or just spread rumours and gossip.

The draw of the club Easter egg raffle was held on Thursday 17th. April 2003.

Thanks to the efforts of all those selling raffle tickets a good donation was made to club funds.

Chairman Bill Taylor.

Bill came back to the club after many years at sea. He's already playing a key rule in trying to develop the club. this is his first year as Chairman.

Vice Chairman Brian Sproul.

Brian stepped down from the post of chairman, after several years, but still plays a big part in organising club event and runs.

Treasurer Phil Morris.

Since jack Nicholson stepped down as treasurer Phil has now been in the post for more years than most and he's still just a young thing.

Secretary Steve King.

The first ever Thistle picture competition has been launched to celebrate our brand new web site.

We're looking for all your best pics of cycling. So next time your out and about on your bike take your picture. Then send them to us, for advice send us an e-mail and we'll get back to you, and we'll start a gallery of all our best work. This gallery is not up yet but we hope will be soon. The best picture will be chosen at the end of the year and suitable prize found.

As you're in it you must be aware that our site is now live. We hope you enjoy it, but like any site it will be best if you supply us with your stories and pics so get in touch soon.

Phase two will make the site even easier to use when we hope to have a Gallery and Forum that allows you to up load your stuff directly so watch this space.
