Location

The race headquarters will be at the Lochee boys club which is at the end of Wellbank Lane, Dundee. You can find the exact location by going to the front page of the Dundee Thistle website at http://www.dundeethistle.co.uk.

The best way to get there is to come along the Kingsway (A90) bypass and turn in towards the centre of Dundee at the Coupar Angus flyover roundabout. This will take you past Lochee where you should turn up Loons Road where shortly after you should turn left towards Wellbank Lane.

Registration

The calendar entry is here It is bound to be oversubscribed again this year so please get your entries in early. They will not be opened till the closing date, at which point a start list will be made available.

Parking

Following landscape work at the club there is now no parking available at the club for any other than race officials vehicles. The next best place to park is on Loons Road or the surrounding streets as the residents close to the club have complained about parked cars outside their houses in the past. Please be considerate when parking. If you park near the start of the prologue course, please park on the residential (outer) side of the road, not on the course itself.

Strip

A hall will be provided at the strip for changing and the club also has toilet and shower facilities.

Sign on

Photofinish number positioning

The club will be open all morning from 8am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday so you can sign on at any time before your prologue start, although don't leave it too late as the prologue start is a short ride from the club.

Please note that we will be making use of the excellent photofinish service for stage 2 (Saturday afternoon). Number placement should be as shown to the left with shoulder numbers on the LEFT HAND SIDE.

Food

Hot drinks, soup and rolls will be provided between and after stages along with tea/coffee.

Race

The stage race will be held over three stages; a hill climb prologue and two road stages over varying terrain. A good overview of the stages is available here.

Please note that due to road resurfacing works between Auchterhouse and Newtyle, the race will be neutralised until the end of Newtyle village
