Majorca 2006Majorca 2006

Four members of our club along with one from the Dundee Wheelers and four others from the Team CMC (Perth) headed for a ten day cycling holiday to Majorca. Basing ourselves in Alcudia here are some of the runs we partook whilst over there.

Day 1 After arriving at our Hotel around 1:30 pm we unpacked and assembled our bikes and set off for the first viewpoint at Formentor. Route : Alcudia, Pto Pollenca, Formentor, Pollenca, Bay Road Shortcut, Alcudia Distance : 25 miles Comments: Started out steady, then over exuberance took over on the climb and battle ensued.

Day 2 Today we met up with the rest of our cycling buddies who had flown out the previous day to us, two from Dundee Cyclesport , four from Kingdom R.T. and Paul also fro Team CMC who was staying in Pto Pollenca. Route : Alcudia, Sa Pobla (Marshes), Llubi, Sineu, St Joan, Manacor, Son Cario, Son Severa, Arta, C'an Picafort, Alcudia Distance : 72 Miles Comments : Run started out a frantic pace and by Arta there was bodies all over the place.
