As has been the case in recent years there was a full field for the Dundee 2 Day race. With the Law resurfaced (in part) and new potholes 9in the other part), it promised to be a cracking race. In form riders from far and wide (though no English visitors this year) despite the last minute cancellations following a spate of crashes on the west coast. Pre-race punditry favoured Rob Wilkins for the win, with Kristoff Asknes as a potential and the possibility of a good result from John Kermode. The threatened rain had stayed away - just - and we were ready for the start.

The first prologue rider will start at 9:30 am on Saturday morning. Following riders will start at 1 minute intervals.

Location

The race headquarters will be at the Lochee boys club which is at the end of Wellbank Lane, Dundee. You can find the exact location by going to the front page of the Dundee Thistle website at http://www.dundeethistle.co.uk.

The best way to get there is to come along the Kingsway (A90) bypass and turn in towards the centre of Dundee at the Coupar Angus flyover roundabout. This will take you past Lochee where you should turn up Loons Road where shortly after you should turn left towards Wellbank Lane.

We have had 5 cancellations since the last start sheet so some of the reserve riders will have moved up into the starters list.

The Dundee Thistle stage race is to be held on the 29th, 30th May. If you were hoping to get a late entry in or sent your entry in the last few days then I am afraid we are full up.
